The vast mountainous area of Western Tien Shan serves as natural border for Fergana Valley. It is one of the unique parts of the world and has every reason to be included to the World Heritage List.

Tien Shan is one of the largest mountain ranges in Asia. Translated from the Chinese language Tien Shan means "Celestial Mountains". Western Tien Shan starts from a powerful mountain site of Khan Tengri (H-6995), on the border of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Further extends westward variety of ranges. The largest of them is Terek Alatau, located on the eastern branch of the border with Kyrgyzstan.

In the Western Tien Shan includes the Talas Ridge and ranges of Ugam and Korzhintau in a south-easterly direction. Entirely within Kazakhstan Karatau is  the most extreme, badly damaged in the edge of the Tien Shan.

According to topography and geological structure Tien Shan is located in the ancient geosynclinal belt and composed of metamorphosed shale, gneiss, limestone and volcanic Precambrian and Paleozoic volcanic rocks and deposits.

The main aspect that can indulge visitors to Tien Shan is the study of local attractions and familiarity with marvelous mountain range. So, for example, you should spend some time to explore the "heavenly lake", located in the vicinity of the peak of Bogd.

It has a crescent shape and is surrounded by green mountains that make this place very picturesque. Many tourists tend to visit mountain camps with hot source that contains a lot of mineral substances and may be used as a beverage.
