Travelling to Khiva on the special tourist trolleybus will be possible in the near future

Local and foreign visitors of Urgench will soon have opportunity to travel to the main Tourist Center of Khorezm on the tourist trolleybus.

In any case, the possibility of this isn’t excluded by Uzbek tour operators, who have recently been in the Khorezm region during the study of the tourist potential of this rapidly developing in recent year’s region.

Having learned from local colleagues that in 2013 nine new trolleybuses of Czech production will be delivered to Urgench and that the local authorities in the coming months are going to fix and put in order the most extensive in the region trolley lines, tour operators immediately assessed future tourism prospects.

There is nothing unexpected in these proposals: experience of using the world's longest high-85-mile trolleybus line Simferopol-Yalta in Ukraine for tourism purposes is well known since Soviet times.
