The memorial museum of great ruler

In the village Hodzhailgor will create a unique museum that reflects the history of the family of Amir Temur (Tamerlane) and his childhood.

The founder of the great empire Tamerlane was born April 8, 1336 in the small village of Hodzhailgor near Shakhrisabs. The boundaries of his empire extended from the Mediterranean to the Great Wall of China in one direction and from the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf in one another.

Among the descendants of Tamerlane were such great people as a wonderful scientist and ruler Ulugbek, the governor of Khorasan Bayqara Hussein, a magnificent poet, historian and founder of the state of Babur in India Muhammad Babur.

It should be noted that in 1996 was created the State Museum of History of Tamerlane. The main part of the museum's collection is made up of the manuscripts of Amir Timur and Timurids reflecting the history of 14 - 16th centuries , including coins, ceramic and bronze ware, architectural ornamental coverings, books, ethnographic artifacts, works of local artists.

Visit the museums of the Timurid epoch with tour of Uzbekistan and Peopletravel.
