Tuproq Qala fortress and the world-famous Savistsky Museum of Art will become the central venues of the festival, which over the past 4 years has been a crossroads of traditions, arts, history and modernity.

According to archeological excavations this place was also a religious center for rituals and the structure here were built in the Zoroastrianism epoch. Tuproq Qala town with a palace of khorezmshah is one of the oldest secular buildings in Central Asia and has been declared and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Every spring one of the cities of Uzbekistan becomes a place to present traditional culture and arts of the whole country, as the artisans and masters of handicrafts, cuisine, unique oral and non-material heritage get together and show their arts within the Asrlar Sadosi Festival of Traditional Culture.

The Festival is annually hosted in different countries of Uzbekistan. So far the Asrlar Sadosi Festival has been held in Shakhrisabz, Tashkent region, Khiva and Bukhara and has attracted 95.000 visitors to Uzbekistan from all over the world.

The agenda of the Asrlar Sadosi Festival in Uzbekistan includes competitions of folklore bands, folk tellers - bakhshi, traditional art-concerts and shows, national dress fashion shows that take place on open-air stages. The Festival presents also folk games, kupkari (Uzbek horse sport), demonstrative fights of kurash wrestlers, cock fights and performances of rope-walkers - darboz`s, competition of Uzbek national cuisine by the best chefs - oshpaz from different parts of the country.

Asrlar Sadosi Festival is accompanied by the exhibition-fair of applied arts, where the best masters of ceramics, embossing, embroidery, miniature, textile and woodworking, national puppet makers and other artists demonstrate their works and the process of creating them.
