New high-speed rail route Almaty-Tashkent

According to Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan high-speed route Almaty - Tashkent will meet the increased demand and the travel time will be reduced on average by 1.5-2 times.

Currently in Kazakhstan there are several high-speed trains that are operating in directions of Almaty - Atyrau, Astana - Almaty and Atyrau - Semey. The next year, in addition to the route Almaty - Tashkent will be launched four more high-speed rail route: Astana - Kyzylorda, Almaty - Aktobe.

During this year the number of passengers from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan reached 19.9 million. It can be assumed that the opening of the new high-speed route between our countries will significantly increase the number of passengers.
